  • OT - Elvis gone 30

Today is the 30th anniversary of Elvis' death. I'm not a real big fan but if there is a alot in the Commonwealth what ever it is newspaper about him, I would like 2 copies of the paper. The company I used to work for had a branch warehouse in Memphis and the manager used to send us stuff about Elvis all the time. Then when Elvis died he sent me 2 copies of the paper the day after. Of course, it's only worth about $2, but I still have it. If anyone in Memphis can do this for me I would appreciate it.

"One after another they volunteered how in their families and in their
communities they were expected to be responsible for their behavior, how
honesty was assumed to be the rule, not the exception. They also talked
matter-of-factly about the sense of duty to their country, a sentiment not
    much in fashion anymore."

I know what you meant here, but I have to admit it took me a couple of moments to puzzle it out

Music got rioned, IMHO, when he came along.
I was heavy into R&B and Jazz at that time, but he drew thwe rest of the (other) kids to rockabilly leavig R&B to reract back to the "other side of the tracks," where few stations carried it.

Ehh, Better than Eddie Fisher, I guess, though.
