    Part # 1565289, my books do'nt show it.

    Joe, I knew from that part number exactly where to look, it's a '65-'66 Number! However I find a 1565288 Bracket & Sleeve Alternator Support 66V only. NO 289 exists in '65-'66 but the series of numbers does,

    The highest Avanti Number is 1563328, not that and not Truck.

    If it's really a 289 maybe Avanti II that's quite a stretch because I don't think they used Stude. numbers, usually, 700XXX or prototype or late '64 or '66 after printing?

      Thanks Rich,I wire brushed it over and over and really thought it's a 9.but you must be right,hey I hope your team wins <G>

        Thst # isn't in the 1971 SASCO Parts Price List book, so I'd wager that last digit isn't a 9
        No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.
