  • Carburator Problem

I have a six cylinder with 1 barrel. You can start it cold and it starts right up and idles good. If you touch the gas pedal it dies. Let idle for a mintue or two then its ok. Any ideas. Thanks

Many unlikely things could cause this, like excessive fuel pressure flooding it out until it normalizes. But the most common thing would be too lean of a choke setting or no choke!

If it is a manual choke like some trucks are...it's driver error!! LOL!

Heat riser valve open and a lean choke will produce a need to warm the car engine to prevent stalls.
