Carter AS replacement

Any suggestions for a substitute carb for my '63 Lark's OHV 6? I've heard less than wonderful things about the AS that's now on the manifold and while the engine's apart I'd like to start fresh with something that works better if I can. Thanks.

Actually it's the RBS carb. that is supposed to be on '63-'64 OHV 6's that is a piece of junk, you've got the GOOD one! That is the '62 Carb. which may not be the best, but it's way better than the round tin float bowl RBS that belongs there!! [:0]
