Apologies if there's a place to go to find this, but, I'm researching what it might cost me to acquire a 1961 Lark Cruiser, 4 door, with a 289.

How can I find out its MSRP?

Also, can I assume that pre-1964, the Larks were Larks, and it wasn't until 63/64 that they were referred to as Daytonas, Cruisers, Commanders, etc.? So it would be a 1961 Lark Regal, or Lark Cruiser, or just Lark?

Ok, I see that Hagerty: http://www.hagerty.com/price-guide/1961-Studebaker-Lark Says that a sedan with a 259 V8 went for $4592. They don't show Cruisers though. For Nevada DMV that ought to be close enough for the registration estimator.

I get a real kick out of that NADA guide.......easily 200-400 % over the top. $17K for a 62' Lark Wagon....? I think their late model values are too high also...

Interesting, as far as I can tell it does not include Studebaker Avanti.

The car that has been posted here, from CL, IS a 1961 Studebaker Lark Cruiser. In 1961-1962, Cruisers were models of Larks. In 1963, Cruisers became stand alone models (like Hawk and Avanti) and not Lark models.

The base MSRP of a 1961 Lark Cruiser was $2458. This is plus shipping and any options, like the subject car's 289. The base shipping weight was 3001 pounds.
