Kewl, Jack! that is gonna be one rompin-stomping setup. The Lark is gonna pass up everything but a gas station

Great progress Jack. I like your engine stand. I am in the process of attempting to build one using a small utility trailer as a mobile platform. I doubt it will look as professional as yours.

John I wish the stand was mine but it's Jamie Mcleod who is doing my engine work. He came today and
picked up my wife's Cobra for repair. Sounds like timeing chain ( I think from street racing)

To some brands, a timing chain is a critical part. To us Studebaker folks...it's a design flaw.

I suggest getting rid of the cute little glass fuel filter. I nearly burned my 37 up on I-80 coming back from the International meet when the threads on that same type of filter failed. Gas all over the side and motor. I will repeat - the threads failed - they did not just come unscrewed. We very easily could have had a disaster and not just the car. Bet you can guess where they are made.

Your wife street races her Cobra? Sounds like my kind of gal!

As good as it sounds here, it sounded even better in person. It was fun to hear and see that thing fired up for the first time. That Lark hardtop is going to fly......

Poor little 53 said she felt awfully lonely up here.

The glass filter is not going to stay. I put the fuel pump back on the engine to keep it from slinging oil everywhere. I still threw a little oil out of the dipstick hole as you can see. Should be a torque monster!!
