  • Studebaker Authenticity Guidebook

As I keep trying to modify within reason my 62 GT Hawk, there are things that I want to remain as close to authentic as I can get them. Some of that has to do with knowing what something is suppose to look like, what color it is suppose to be. Anyway while reading the JUDGING MANUEL I notice a paragraph that was written before October 2007 that indicated there was some work beginning on a Studebaker Authenticity Guidebook. . .does anyone know anything one and how to secure one. . .thanks.Click image for larger version

I believe there have been a number of small articles in TW requesting the contribution of authenticity "facts", but it is my impression that few have been forthcoming. The last I heard, Malcolm Stinson was trying to assemble the necessary data, but was not getting a lot of help from the membership. Anyone having more info, please correct the above, especially if was too pessimistic.

Better correct your business card Ernie, people will think you are associated with the upstart non-Co. called Studebaker Motor Co.

The correct name is "Studebaker Corporation", or the prior Co. name; Studebaker Packard Corp. not Motor Co.

Not exactly an "Authenticity Guidebook," but this may be as close to one as currently available.

I guess I am a typical Studebaker, got 500 of those cards done on Vista Print for 10 bucks-should dump them because of the HISTORIC inaccurate representation-but my buddies won't know and I won't PASS THEM OUT where there would be confusion, cough!!

I bought both for the GT HAWKS so I covered it. . .mine is a 62 but I also purchased the 63-64 issue. . .I am glad they help the museum. . .figured it was a good way to make a contribution and get something for it. . .
