n29we, i wouldn't think about saying anything about what may or may not be "correct" on her, i like it!
but, i would check the "date code" on the "new" tires, for safety's sake - not to mention a part of the tire letting go and damaging the body and cool looking paint!Kerry. SDC Member #A012596W. ENCSDC member.

Yup, thats the one. Wrong color to start. New old tires that will be checked out. I'm sure there are other things but it'll be fun to check it out once it gets here1963 Avanti R2

I was watching that one too. I'd hazard a guess that a thorough carb rebuild, tune up and a good bit of Seafoam run through it, followed by a flush of all fluids with fresh and she's ready to rock & roll. Oh, don't forget to double check the date codes on the tyres.
May you have many miles of smiles and happy Thanksgiving.

Looks like a good deal to me - especially the 4-speed part. However, if it's been sitting for years, the gas tank probably needs to be removed and professionally refurbed. Mine had been sitting about 5 years and the crap that came out of the gas tank was unbelievable. The fuel filter looked like it had molasses in it. All that stuff gummed up the carburetor. Best move I made was getting the tank cleaned/boiled out, new lines, new filter(s) and the carb rebuilt with the expensive type kit that contains the neoprene pump. After all that and some standard electrical tune-up; plugs, dual points (or electronic ignition), wires, etc. the car ran great. I did have to replace the heat riser with a dummy. Before that it smoked vapor slightly out one side of the exhaust.edp/NC
