  • Studebaker 'Tech Trivia' Question #8

On a '54 Studebaker coupe, If the left deck lid opening panel is damaged or rusted away along it's top edge, (where the 1/4 panel bolts to it), and around the tail light mounting, what's a
'quick and dirty' way to make a solid repair on this damaged panel? (Did I say CASO?)

To: DEEPNHOCK,----Got it......but there actually is a somewhat 'clever' and VERY inexpensive way to achieve an almost 'factory' repair here.....think about it.

ANSWER:-----Simply cut the needed area from a discarded RIGHT side 1/4 panel (perhaps a 1/4 that's rusted out down low or towards the front). Weld in, and complete the body repair per usual!
