  • Looking for 50 Starlight Trunk Hinge

Anybody have a drivers side trunk hinge that they want to sell?

Which vendor would be most likely to have one.

Doesn't have to be new, just needs to work.

    Thanks

The hinges are the same from 47 to 52.

IIRC body style makes a difference. Some one check me.

Check with Bob Helms from Texas, he advertises in the classified section of Turning Wheels. He has a lot of that sort of stuff and even rebuilds hinges. I got a pair for my '53 from him. Be sure you keep them oiled/greased, that helps a lot.

Starlight coupes (OOPS! FIVE-Passenger coupes, sorry, Gary) and Business coupes (OOPS! THREE-Passenger coupes, sorry again, Gary) share deck lids and hinges. Four-doors, 2-dr sedans and convertibles share a different deck lid and hinges - so you DO need a hinge from a Starlight or Business Coupe.

Thanks, Bob. Knew it was something like that. It was just too early for me to go digging in my parts book.
