  • Can't look

Not even through my fingers. Saw this on C/L http://reno.craigslist.org/cto/3261308837.html

I gotta quit looking to 'just see what's out there'. It's killing me
As a kid, I remember reading about the 50s Studebakers with the bubble speedometers and thought those would be soooo cool. Tell me they're a lot of trouble and are expensive to fix, or something to divert my attention. Please.

They are NOT any trouble (in my experience). I have owned several that I have used for everyday cars. I have never had a problem with one that I owned or any cars that I worked on. I used to see the speedometer in my 1957 President Classic roll around past the end of the numbers every week.

        I know what you mean.

I've got a serious jones on for Packard Hawks. Every time I see one come up for sale on the net I want to jump on it and have to stop myself and tell myself, "No, bad Mike! Finish the one you've already got first."

If I ever hit the lottery my wife has no idea what she's going to be in for; 'cuz I'm going to start buying P.H.s like nobody else.

Those 56-58 speedometers and just ordinary speedos stood on their sides. Nothing unusual internally. When you first get one, take it off, lay it sideways, and put some oil into the oil cup. It'll be fine.
