Couldn't watch the video, so don't know anything about it except the posted comments. There are varieties of oak trees that never go dormant. They can shed leaves a couple of times a year, but they don't drop all their leaves at one time ever.

Oak tree with his Mercedes last July in Manassas (not funny...DRT)...

Here in Indianapolis, they would have told everyone that it was interfering with power lines and just cut the tree down.
