1963 studebaker avanti giveaway ad

While going through my father-in-law's papers, we found a 1963 add regarding a Studebaker Avanti giveaway. Not sure if it has been posted before. However, the add has color photos and is nicely done. I don't know how to put an attachment of this sort on the Forum? We have it reduced to a 5 mb PDF.

Any Ideas?

Hi All: The add looks like it was originally in a Readers Digest, just as Richard said. That being the case, I will still e-mail it to Matthew. Almost certain it is the one that Richard posted.

Can you imagine what that give-away value would be at today's dollars? I want one. Heck, I was 23 when the add came out. Where was I?

In this contest, they gave away 25 Avanti's? 50 Hawks? and 275 other Studebakers???
No wonder they had a profitability problem. :/

One wonders how many vehicles the Company would needed to have sold to offset that particular sales? 'promotion' ?

They weren't even the leftover '63s at that point! (Assuming the deadline to entry was December of '62.)

I'd love to know how many of the cars were actually claimed as prizes in the first place. As one can see, the copy I have and the copy RQ scanned was never filled out and submitted, and one can bet there were thousands more, including unsold copies of the magazine(s) the ad was placed in.
