I wonder who the two fellows are that the author of this article refers to as Andy and Joe Granatelli? Also,....Lew Welch designed the NOVI engine?....that sure would be news to Lew Welch!!
In all seriousness, this article is an excellent example of shoddy, inaccurate journalism. Unfortunately, many take foolish articles like this as the gospel truth.

All right.
Point by point.
Correct the innacuracies in the article and set the record straight.
Disagreeing is one thing.
Let's do it one better.
Right the wrongs in the article.

I noticed on the letterheads that Studebaker was still using the Main Street locaton in South Bend as their corporate headquarters in 1966. I have always found this interesting, as they were a large corporation, and it must have been odd for executives to drive into the main office past all the reminders of their failed auto efforts. I know (well, I am doing this from memory) they sold the headquarters building to the South Bend School District for $1 in in think 1969. Anyone have any idea how long Studebaker Corporation maintained their corporate headquarters in South Bend? My guess is no later than 1967, when they merged with Worthington.Eric DeRosa

Thanks for your reply Steve, and for an interesting website.
A daunting task, for sure, but also a labor of love.
Hopefully, there are some people here that will step forward with knowledge that will help fill some of those gaps.
Good Job!
