  • Frame / Springs: muffler scrapes

Aloha; My muffler scrapes on a spot in my driveway(can't change). What is nornal height for a 55 Commander cp.has anyone added leaves to rear springs and is this a good idea? Also,if I raise the back I'll want to raise the front. From my youth I remember little rubber(thingies)that wedged in coil springs to add boost.Has anyone tried that and does it work and are they available?I'm looking for a solution with out major rebuild. Them little rubber things mess up the spring rate. Does you muffler drag any place else? Someone will come up with the normal ride height. If the rear is sagging you can simply add a leaf with an add a leaf kit or get some rear springs......If the height is right get you mufflers tucked up higher.
If you car is ugly then it better be fast.....

If it is the Drivers side muffler.....Is the exhaust run properly (over the crossmember) If under it it is too low.
