I'm parting a 63 cruiser and I want to use the the stainless trim around the door glass to dress up my standard Lark. Does anyone know how to safely remove it without damage. It appears to be bonded to the frame and I'm afraid to pry it with any force. Thanks

Snaps right off without damage. Gently pry on the inside and it will roll right off. There are a couple of obvious "tabs" at the corners that will have to be uncrimped first. Re-installs just as easy.

If I'm not mistaken I think that the entire window frames can be unbolted from the doors and then you can swap them over.

I have the drivers frame off the door, the front had been brazed at the seam. I thought about swapping the whole frame but the cruiser frames are pretty rusty in the lower channel and it took some doing to get the frame out.

Stainless does pop off. I used a hammer and a 12" block of wood and tapped the outer edge of the stainless working from corner to corner and it came off without damage
