    Quite expensive, although some things were also converted like radio or clock to modern quartz.

      The owner of this '57 GH is making a big deal of the standard transmission thing. In reality, the Flightomatic is an excellent transmission, and the car might be more pleasant to own and drive
      if it HAD an automatic, especially since this GH has manual steering. In My opinion, a manual trans in a '57 or a '58 Golden does not greatly increase it's value. However, in a '56 Golden,
      a manual trans is a real positive, and the value of a car so equipped, all else being equal, would be greater than the auto version. This would probably also hold true for '55 Speedster models.
