  • Studebaker 'Racing Trivia' Question #98

What was finally accomplished at the restoration shop of R.J. 'Buck' Boudeman in March of 1989?

  • #2
No one out there is familiar with this noted auto restorer from Michigan? HINT......the builders of this vehicle furnished the original blueprints for the restoration.

Buck 'reproduced' the Miller Golden Submarine car around a Miller engine, but I believe that was well before 1989, wasn't it? And I don't think there is much of a Studebaker connection there...............

To: r1lark,---I'm familiar with the Miller 'Golden Submarine'...but didn't know Boudeman reproduced it...interesting. But the ANSWER to this question is that in March of '89 He finished the restoration of
NOVI #9, the 4WD Ferguson car that is now at the Motorsports Hall Of Fame in Novi, Michigan. Word is that the local police were called to investigate when Boudeman first fired the engine at 6AM one
morning and went for a short spin around the neighborhood!
