Not unless you twist his arm really hard but he will help you find what you might need.

We watched that episode last night. The wife piped up before I even noticed (I was playing with one of our parrots) and exclaimed: "Hey! There's Studebakers in that guys shop!" It was fun to get a glimpse around Max's shop - my never having been there. I'd like to be able to ask Max just how staged the engagement really was. These "reality" programs want you to believe you're RIGHT THERE as they "stumble" upon various finds. They want you to forget about the production crew that's there filming while they dig thru boxes and dusty lofts. Imagine answering a knock at your door and finding two guys wanting to invite themselves in while a camerman shoots from 20 feet to one side. MY inclination would be to slam the door.
Max DID flatly refuse to sell ANYthing "Studebaker" out of his shop.
No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

That show is the same scripted type program as Pawnstars and several others. Still fun to see all his stuff though. I never had that many toys when I was a little kid! Obviously Max got so many toys when he was little, that quite a few are still in their original boxes. (lol)

I saw Max on the Pickers episode. He was most gracious to the two guys, but stood fast on those items that weren't for sale.
It was terrific to see all that Studebaker stuff on television. It's good for everyday folks to see the Studebaker name.
