  • Clipper tail lights, will they fit a Stude?

I love the '57 Packard Clipper tail lights. It seems to me that fitting them to my '57 Commander 4 door should be easy, they are the same body shell, right?[8D]
Bluebird already has the wrong ('56) grill anyway, why not do a little more customizing?

Sure, just find a set of 57 Packard rear quarters.

Interesting thought, Charles. But, there are '57 Clippers popping up on Ebay once in awhile, desperately in need of a good home! I don't believe fitting them on a 57 President would be a minor project, though they are basically the same car. My suggestion would be to acquire a South Bend Packard, and have double the fin, er--fun. BTW, Speaking of Ebay, I have seen those Packard tailight assemblies bring high $$$ there--nearly what a complete and restorable(but rusty) supercharged 57 Clipper has sold for.

What they're saying is, they're NOT a bolt-on modification. There's different skin at the rear and it involves drilling out lots of spot welds and installing the "grafts" onto your 57.[:0][B)]
Plus - as they've indicated - finding good fixtures for a reasonable price is gonna cost you![}]
