  • Once-cool high tech Stude advertising words

Let's see if we can create (and keep adding to) a list of advertising words that once were cutting edge descriptions of new features on Studebakers. This may require looking up some old literature (are you reading this, Leonard)?

To get it started, I'll only put one word out there:

    Flight-O-Matic

        My favorite:

        Climatizer

If at first you don't succeed you will get a lot of advice.

"Stamina" (think back to the '30's). For an inovation, how about Hill Holder.

Excellent! Cut and paste the list as you add one (and alphabetize it if you like). So far, we have:

                        ECON-O-MISER

My Avanti has a V-8, but not just any V-8, but a Jet Thrust V-8!

Flight-O-Matic is really cool...but not as funny as Ford's
                            Select Shift-O-Matic...

My all time favorite comes from another late independent...Rambler:
the "Weather Eye" heater. As a kid I wondered (very briefly) if our Rambler had radar or something.

                            Washington State

PS. Some days I wish I had a Lark so I too could have Performabilty like Wilbur Post and Mr. Ed talk about in their TV commercial (available on YouTube).
