  • Studebaker 'Racing Trivia' Question #62

Are all '55-'56 Packard V8 passenger car water pumps the same? If there are differences, what are
    they?

ANSWER:------Not getting much feedback to this question, so,.......There were TWO different passenger car water pumps made for the Packard V8. The pump used on all Packards and '56 Studebaker Golden Hawk's, and a
much 'shorter nosed' pump to fit the limited available space in the senior Nash-Hudson models that used the Packard engine.

Since they were never used in a Studebaker or Packard, wouldn't this be better titled Nash trivia????

To: bezhawk,--- Not really, I don't believe. The question posed concerned the Packard engine, which Studebaker did use (owned). And I mentioned considering all the passenger cars these engines were used in. (At least
          I didn't include marine applications!!!!)
