The August 2007 issue of "Automobile" magazine has an article on automobile design terminology. To illustrate "highlights" they use a 3/4 side picture of a 1953 Commander Starliner.

The explanation starts with; "Highlights are the concentrated reflections along the sides of a car."

One of the things that Bob Bourke disliked about the Avanti was the lack of good/continuous highlights/reflections along the length of the side.

One of the commercial TV channels in GB had a series on automobile design in the 1990s. Great. I've been trying to find a source for it for some time, even contacting various schools where auto design is taught.
No luck. I can't even remember the name. Anyone have a clue? Karl
