Shameless plug time.
I had an idea about 15 years ago to create a poster featuring all the Studebaker Hawks. Back then I took pictures and drawings and cut and pasted them to poster board to see how the poster would look. Needless to say I couldn't make it happen.
Fast forward to Dec. of last year. I contacted Curt Sochocki and he and I were able to turn my idea into reality.
After 6 months of effort the Hawk poster made it's debut last week at the South Bend International.
I have a limited number of poster avilable to sell via mail order. The poster measures 2' X 3'.
The price is $20.00 per poster plus postage and handling. If you are interested in purchasing a poster please contact me for exact costs. The poster will make an excellant gift (Christmas, birthday, Fathers day, etc.), wall decoration, door prize, award or gift exchange at your Chapters Christmas party.
Of course the attached picture does not do it justice. I know you will be happy with your poster should you order one.
Thank you for your consideration.

Update 8/11/12
Hi everyone,
I have been doing some calculations and it looks like I will have to charge:
Poster cost $20.00 each PLUS
US shipping will be $8.00
Canada shipping will be $10.00
Switzerland shipping will be $11.00
I will PM all that have emailed or sent me a PM.

Anyone that is interested in purchasing the Hawk poster can send a check or money order to:

I have mine hanging in the office already. Gary you did a great job on this. I think everyone should have one (or two). However... why is it that every time I stopped by your table (which wasn't many since I was busy at my own spot) you were gone?

Seriously everyone, the poster has great info, specs and nice artwork too. You won't be dissapointed.

Gary,

I took your advice and picked up a frame at Michael's. Between the 40% off frames sale this weekend and the 25% off coupon I had, I got a nice frame at a price a Studebaker owner could love.

Looking at the poster I never realized that over the nine model years of the Hawk the first three you could get either a coupe or a hardtop, the middle three years were only coupes and the last three were only hardtops.

Nick

p.s. Thanks for making the poster a size that easily fits into a frame.

Gary1953
08-13-2012, 07:02 PM
Nick,
Thank you for your compliments. Any smaller and the cars wouldn't be detailed enough.
If I counted correctly there were 29 different Hawk model numbers. I had to stop at one body per year and the bodies for US sales.
I tried to mix up the colors and couldn't show all the colors available or the poster would be about 6 ft by 10 ft.

I hope most of you have received your Dec. Turning Wheels by now and maybe you have seen my ad for the Studebaker Hawk poster. I have sold over 130 to Studebaker fans since Aug. and I'm sure those owners will tell you how great it looks hanging on their walls. Pictures do not do it justice.
If you would like one for Christmas you need to drop that hint to you significant other or order one very soon for yourself so I can get it mailed in time. Details above if you have not received your Turning Wheels.
You will not be disappointed.
Thank you for your consideration.

I'm really pinching pennies right now, an don't really have a good place to put it, but 20 dollars is a fantastic price for a specialty item as this. Assuming you still have them in a little while I'll have to get one. Really awesome man cave item.

I have several ideas for other posters. One of the things I hear from someone that doesn't buy a poster is the person doesn't have wall space for a poster.
If I could have gotten the poster printed 20 years ago when I first came up withthe idea maybe some of that wall space would have be available. LOL
Your suggestions would make great posters though.

I still have several Hawk posters I need to move first.

They will make great Christmas gifts, gift exchanges, birthday, Fathers day,Mothers day, etc.
