Paint: 1961 Lark instrument panel

I was wondering what process Studebaker used to paint the white area on the instrument panel of the 1961 Larks? Stencil? Masking? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any suggestions! Quentin

I think this needs some clarification are you referring to the dash or to the gauges?

The instrument panel is the area of the dash where the gauges sit. It is painted white and matches the glove compartment door in size and shape. Thanks for the reply! Quentin
