Just to prove to Dick that I have been practicing my math (and decimals in particular) , I have calculated that Mr. Biggs has posted 7.111576252070272% of the messages on the Forum. Of course, I suspect that our current posting total of 98417 does not include the deleted Forum pages (i.e. Omaha).

Well - yes - here it is, my seven thousandth offering. It's warm fuzzies for me that it could be noted with a positive tone.[:I] Noted AT ALL, for that matter! THANKS!
It's not like I've TRIED to be top poster here, it's just the result of my love for Studebakers and most Studebaker folks. I could have gotten here sooner if I'd commented on EVERY thread that's been spawned here (or made little one-word remarks in a simple attempt at running my tally up![)]). Early on (in the history of this forum) I did comment on just about every thread that was started. And, of course, I started a few of my own back then as well.
Lately, I've been more selective of threads that I contribute to. Part of the reason is that we've got SO MANY more contributors here that are able to provide answers and insights. Oft times, I'll read a thread and see that anything I could have contributed has already been tendered. I MIGHT add something IF I think my wordy ways and my technical conversance can clarify some detailed point. It is, after all, a silly way to try and troubleshoot - at a distance and without first-hand observance of the situation. Sometimes, ONE KEY WORD can turn the light bulb on and effect a cure. I love those rare moments!
I will repeat that I know full well, I don't have all the answers with respect to Studebakers. But I do enjoy sharing what I DO know if it halps someone else enjoy this madness.[]
Another reason for less posting of late is that it's summer-time and there's lots to do around the property here. The wife's mega-garden (what would you call one that has SEVENTY tomato plants, 25 pepper plants, etc., etc.?)draws some of my time as does other things around here. For instance, this week I was a Toyota ignition specialist and I got up to speed on dishwasher troubleshooting and repair. Computer repairs - a roto-tiller starter problem - and so on and so forth. Being a die-hard frugalitarian, I HATE to pay some "specialist" to do something I'm perfectly capable of. Especially when I know that the job I do will be better than what I'd get from paying some "specialist" to fumble over![}]
I will say that I was flattered by the urging to "write MORE" from many of the forum regulars when we'd chat in person in South Bend last month. I will try to do that more - writing little "featurette" stories about my motoring adventures. I love doing it - especially when it's well recieved.[:I] I just have to find the time to HAVE more little motoring adventures.[^]
