  • Fuel System: Need a carburetor for my '62 Lark...

My car 'desperately' needs a carburetor says the mechanic. Any idea where to find one? And how year specific are these things? I'm having a hard time finding one.

Give use a little help, Sue. Is it a 6-cyl or V8? If V8, is it a 2-bbl or 4-bbl? Standard shift or automatic?

If its a V-8, get a 4 barrel intake and buy a brand new Edelbrock with an electric choke. Especially if you don't work on carburetors!!

Its a 6 cyl, auto. The original is a Carter Model AS 1 barrel. I'm wondering if there's something from another make that would be interchangeable.

...and I definitely don't work on carburetors. I'm pretty new to this. The Lark's my first project and I'm learning everything as I go. Thanks for the help fellas. Don't know what I'd do without this forum.
