  • G.A.W on trunk handle mount

The initials G.A.W. are written on the mount for the trunk handle, and I was wondering if any on you know what it stands for.

I recall that G.A.W. Laird drove the #3 Studebaker at the 1929 JCC (Junior Car Club) Double Twelve at Brooklands. Some research says the #3 finished 9th, winning the 8 liter class. Could this be related to the trunk handle mount.

        "my 41 has it too."

As does mine! And I think that I have seen them both with and without the GAW.
