Is the factory/dealer accessory turn signal kit (AC-2125) for the 51 Champion one of those unobtainium part items?

If it is unobtainium any suggestions for an alternative?

Thanks, John

John: Do you not yet have your July Turning Wheels?

The wiring diagram is in there that could virtually show you how to wire an aftermarket turn signal switch such as the type you'd buy at NAPA for a tractor or something. BP

Complete kits are not easy to find. I have acquired all the parts including the switch on the column for my one 50 Commander. It took me some searching but I did find all the parts. Parts like the dash light indicators and housing for the flasher were used on multiple years. So if you are patient you will be able to find all the parts. There are wiring diag's in the shop manual i think.

Thanks Bob I'll check it out, I guess I'll assume the answer to my question is that the OEM optional kit that went with these instructions is a unobtainium item.

It seems like I heard or read somewhere about a vendor that sales all these items in a single kit with a universal turn signal switch and lever for these Studebakers. Anyone out there that can spur my memory?

My wiring guy was able to source everything excluding the switch which I was given to me by a friend. He might be able to do the same for you.

Well someone obtained this one a month ago:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&item=320915488469&nma=true&rt=nc&si=IGfmPoF0GYiTgthcQzCG7yJm9BI%253D&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Its hard to read, but it was AC-2125.
