  • Crank Seal

I need the part number for the neoprene front crank seal. Is a strip of aluminum can still the favored shim? Been awhile since I done this conversion.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kim

My experience with those DIY Timing Cover Seals has not been good.
Most people are using the machined Crank Hubs with a better fitting Seal than the ones used with Aluminum cans and a Redi-Sleeve.
Ingvar Vic and his Son in Montana 406 222 0128 (and others) do the mod on your Timing Cover and Hub and they work very well.

I have not had any trouble on good rebuilt engines with the original Felt Seal myself.

Disclosure: Yours and others' experience may vary.
