  • SB Temperatures During The IM

If the record breaking weather temps on the east coast continue, it could certainly affect attendance. Any of the SB locals care to speculate?

Went to the Michiana chapter meeting last sunday and everthing sounds well planned. Two of the buildings are air conditioned and a tent will be set up on the show field for shade. So far 800 cars, 1400 people and 68 vendors were registered if I heard corectly . Everything seems under controll and will be a Great Meet ! Ed

        Shouldn't be a problem....

We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

Surely we'll have a cool spell by then. I hate to see so many Studebakers met in the sun!

Don't worry too much - in 1998 in Austin, Texas, on Thursday ("show day") I think it was 100 by about 12:30 - and the concourse was on a parking lot!!!

My Uncle was happy because, as always, the trucks were put off to one side - that side happened to be under a row of trees!

Lets just say you will not be needing a jacket.

I was there in the blue & white 56J, but drove over from the California Desert. So was thankful for the cooler climate there in Austin

I would rather have sun & heat as opposed to rain. Careful what you wish for.

This topic/thread makes me think of the SDC International in South Bend in 1988. It was among the hotest. I was showing a black Avanti and doing all of the authenticity judging for the C/K Division, so there was no break for me.

I really think that the people staying in the host hotel should be able to show their cars in the hotel hallways<g> just a perk for being there ?
