Wheels / Tires: 63 Avanti rims

Is anyone running 7 inch rims on their 63 Avanti? I usually restore to new or refurnished 6 inch rims with 215 70 tires. This Avanti came with 7 inch rims (with very old PC Penny tires), all of which WILL be replaced. They look like they stick out too far. Ken, Deltaville, Va

Ken - I have a '63 Avanti and on Jim Turner's advice (using his front brakes) went with Summit wheels that are 15X6 (WVI-54-561204 -- their number)
The fit is just right with new Michelin 205/75/R15 tires.

Might there be list of rims that do work with and a list that don't work with the Turner Brakes? How about the Appliance Wire rims...anybody running those with Truners?
