I'm cleaning out the shop and have some Chevy parts.
Leftovers from a sons abandoned project. "Rat Rod"
I'd like to find out what they are before I sell/give them away or scrap.
One inline 6 Chevy motor. Is there anything obvious I should look for to tell what it is ?
Looks like something out of a 70's Nova.
An automatic trans and torque converter. Has "T 5" cast on one side of the case and "5 T" cast on the other side. And a cable off right hand side.
A manual trans. GM 28 cast on one side of the case.
GM 13 cast on the tailshaft.
Are they a dime a dozen ?
Are they worth finding a new home for or scrap ?
Thanks for any info you can provide.

That Six was essentially the same engine used in the 1965-66 Studes and that AT is probably a GM TH350----------which should bolt right up to any 1955-02 'Gen I' SB Chevy V8. :) Even the driveshaft may be useful because it probably is a Chevy piece as well.

For the motor I found a list of casting numbers on another site.
#3792858 is a 62 - 67 194 ci Chevy.
Thanks for the other information.
