Here is the story.

10 days ago this auction was being bandied about on the forums. It did look bad and it had been tagged while in storage.

The car was purchased used in '77 from another couple in the Denver area, probably a Colorado car. The buyer is/was a hot rodder, so it has air shocks and front spring risers. The wheels are just for rolling around. The hot rodder and his friends helped it onto the trailer and away I went 175 miles south to Silver Cliff, Colorado.

After getting it on the ground (alone) I rested. Today I decided to drag the contents out and see what we had. The pictures are pretty self explanatory,

'59 Lark Regal 2 door hard top. 259 V-8 and 3 speed with over drive. I noted sway bars front and back and a TT rear end. It has reclining buckets and padded dash. The floors seem pretty solid and the trunk has only a couple of minor rust throughs. Typical front fender rust and rocker panels. the rest looks solid. Speedo says 99K+.

See the pictures at http://picasaweb.google.com/mike.way1/Studebaker

I also attended (and joined) my first SDC chapter meeting; it was the Pikes Peak chapter and covers most of southern Colorado.

Enjoy,
Mike

That's a good car to redo- the spray bomb work doesn't mean a thing.

I don't recall what you paid, but I was interested; passed b/c it was too far from me...

How are the front floors? And are you going original, street rod, or ?

I may like it, but don't ask me- I'm prejudiced;)

Been thinking and I am leaning toward what I might have done when I was in high school in 60-61. Wheels and paint, a 4 barrel and so on. Very mild, thinking a black with red 2 tone, but who knows. Brakes and engine 1st
