  • Body / Glass: Inner Fenders

I have a 57 pickup and someone has cut out the inner fenders. I have located a 50 or 51 truck with inner fenders but the salvage yard is not sure what year models will fit my 57. Does anyone know this? Thanks

From memory, so someone please confirm. (1) The early 1949 2R trucks had the old style friction shocks. When the later aircraft tubular shocks were adopted, the inner fenders were modified with an indentation to provide room for the upper shock mounts. (2) Several different heater designs were in use at different times in the C-cabs. Some had the fan mounted in the heater box and some on the fender apron. I think all inner fenders should work with all heater types, but make sure you get any fender-mounted heater parts along with the inner fenders.
