Frank41's wife took some video at Osceola the Friday of the International Meet. It was a super fun afternoon! [8D]. Great turnout...plenty of fast cars, bench racing, and smiles :D. I've edited the original video down to about 6 minutes but I don't think I took out any of the filmed racing. Here it is...

Racers can chime in here with their times and observations from the afternoon.

The run I've included for my car was against a 350Z and it was my best run of the day...14.97 @ 92 MPH. Even with the locker rear end I had to be real careful out of the hole. Lots of wheel spin. You can hear me taking it easy off the line until the clutch is all the way out and tires hooked up. I speed shifted on this run (foot to the floor...stab the clutch and shift). You can hear the tires chirp on each shift even over the open headers. I don't drive too good or go too fast, but make all the right noises [8D].

Who's next?

I'll post video from Martin and the FAST races this weekend. If anybody else has video and has trouble posting it, send a CD to me and I'll edit it and post it for you.

Dick, great work, but my only suggestion for next time - Tripod![:p];)

Funny to mention that the 350Z driver must have sold it shortly after
being beat over and over by Stupidbakers![:o)]

OK Dick, At about 33 seconds into the video is my (Richard Poe) 1963 R1 Lark car #54 running Peter Sants 1963 R2 Avanti car #49. I ran a 14.28@94.54MPH to Peters 14.78@93.92MPH. My MPH was slow for some reason.

Karl gets the award for the best sounding car on the track! [:p] Those twin superchargers and loud exhaust are music! Karl's Avanti was one of the fastest cars there, but would have been quite a bit faster if he could have found some traction. Karl did try different tires with some success (BTW, his all star tire changing "pit crew" included Nemish Solanki [:0])

I tried to get them to let my buggy stage, but no dice. I thought it would be a great video to have me pulling the shafts on the buggy and lined up against Ted in the Tomato. Of course, under pressure of losing, Ted would red light and I would do a 90 second quarter at 8 MPH to take the win!
