  • Packard Hawk hood scoop

Earlier this year I parted out a Packard Hawk. The hood scoop is the only part that I kept, and it's a little rough. I'm curious as to whether or not you guys think it's restorable or not. What should I do with it?

Oh. Here's what it looks like after recreating the missing end. All sorts of impossibilities occur while hanging out with Jim McCuan.

I can't see those being repopped anytime soon.

I think it's restorable and agree that a chrome guy could replate it.

Don't toss it, there are few enough as it is.

I wouldn't throw it away. I also wouldn't spend any time or money on restoring/refurbishing it. I suggest putting it on eBay and see if there is any interest in it. Let someone that needs it spend the money for rechrome.

Yes, I know that you were kidding. I was just giving my overall response to what I think Matthew should do with the piece (eBay - don't repair/replate).
