transporting to IM

We are thinking about looking into having a couple cars transported to the IM in South bend from Los angeles area. We would then fly out. After reading the posts on transporting cars I wonder if it would be possible to have it done in a timely manner. It sounds like whoever I might use would still be at the discretion of availability of the trucks and the connections in between. Since the meet is a fixed time would it even be practicle? Any thoughts or suggestions?

Back in early April, I was given a price quote from Peg Trucking of $1100 for open carrier to transport a 1964 Daytona convert from Castro Valley CA to Milaca MN. I will soon have Peg transport this car but have not received a pick-up date or delivery date yet. So, if you really want a definitive answere, I recommend that you contact Peg.
