  • Vendor Problems (Non-Delivery)

Hi All, Back in March I paid $US68:85 to a vendor called Jumping Frog on Ebay and whose website is as follows:

for 3 CD-Roms of old Studebaker and Packard Advertising.

In May I wrote saying that nothing had arrived yet and he said that he hadn't had them returned and would send some more, and would I return a second set if both arrived.
I said that I would, but as it's now July and nothing has appeared I'm a little ~!@#%%^&*!!!!!!.

I sent him another email stating that there were 3 possibilities Stolen/lost by US Mail, sent by sea (took 3 months for some old TW's to arrive from Canada), or never sent at all, and that I wasn't suggesting that the last option was true, just that it's a reason that nothing has appeared. So far (sent the email last night Aussie time) no response, but wanted to warn the forum that this vendor may (???) not be - how shall I put it - a good one.

The CD'S look good, shame they can't seem to arrive.

I bought some Studebaker photos from a guy in Germany and I never got them. I emailed him and he said that he had sent them. I didn't leave any feedback, although I thought about leaving a negative.

2 years later they were in my mailbox. The envelope was so dirty that I couldn't read the postmark. I emailed him and told him that they had arrived.

        Hi John,
just reverse your credit card payment. That usually gets peoples attention. The worst senario is that he forgot to put Australia on the bottom of it.

Perhaps it is in Austria, the country with the kangaroos and a Californian Govenor

        Greg

It would have been there by surface mail by now and there is no way they get lost in the mail twice. having sent about 6000 parcels around the world, I think only about 5 have gone missing - suposedly. The mail service is like the Canadian mounties. 'They always get their man in the end' Ouch

It's likely not a vendor problem, but a postal service problem. I have a friend who sells on Ebay a lot who will no longer ship "down under" because nothing ever gets there, or it takes 6 months and arrives "disassembled".

                Hi All,

I finally got my CD's last week they were posted on July 10 from Hartford, Connecticut.

Studebaker High Performance - Speedster Hawk Avanti A History in Advertising 1955-1964.
                and
Studebaker Trucks A History in Advertising 1946-61.

There will be one on Packards, Bill McBride sent me one on
Nightgowns and Negligees by mistake that he'll swap over when I send it back.

Just wanted you to know this is a good vendor.
