  • Electrical: 61 Hawk horn issue

Hi Ya'll....think i've done something that I shouldn't. My horn quit on my Hawk, found the relay, checked circuits, nothing. Did a little reading and found I could pop the horn center cap out, did so, found a wire going down the steering shaft. I tugged it, it was loose, so I pulled it up to inspect. If I had read more I would have realized that the $^^!!! wire goes thru the steering box to the outside...dammit. My question is, where does the wire exit the gearbox? If I can find the hole, I can make up a "fishing" lead out of very small piano wire, and get this thing done.
Thanks for the help, and don't laugh TOO loud..

Cash, The wire exits the gearbox at the farthest end, right in the center. You can feel it if you put your finger on the end of the gearbox.
    Hope yhis helps. Marshall
