  • A derelict GH

My local Stude pal Steve Miller found two rough cookies locally; the 53(?) is a V8 4-spd.... the other is a GH with complete r2 engine![] Way too far gone, but the engine is complete with blower!

This makes THREE r2 engines he has- and REFUSES to sell me one![}][V] Especially frustrating because he has a ton of Studes in storage, none drivable...[V]

Oh well... he's a good guy, and maybe someday he'll part with something for me........

            Hi Robert
Say, is that old yard in Holland Patent still there?
Look like that one is a '56 Sky Hawk, a favorite of mine, shame it's such a wreak, even saw a few mine ones at South Bend a couple of weeks ago.

That appears to be a 1957-1958 Golden Hawk. If it has its original engine, it would be a supercharged 289, but not an R2.
The 1956 Sky Hawk is one of my favorite Studebakers, but not that one.
