If this car style is as are as I think it is it makes me almost ill to think it's a hot rod. Maybe it can be saved from such a fate?

Looks to be just a body - now, anyways.... Would rather see it 'rodded' than made into a Toyota. Yet, if a restorer has a frame and looking for a body - that is what i would really prefer!

I too would love to see all OE and restored, but hot rodded would be a close second...and either are WAY over it being rotted to ref dust or crushed.... looks like a great project for someone. Now just get rid of that fword motor....yuck. A nice Caddy V8, Buick nail head, Stude V8, Old Caddy/La Salle flat head V8......oh man not that would rock it as a hot rod.

Here is a 1928 Commander model GB Victoria that belongs to ASC/SDC member John Shanahan (near Harrisburg, Illinois). It has a nearly identical body though you will note the difference belt line (the street rod is the early version). This body was also available on the model GE Dictator. There is no way to tell in the photo of the street rod weather it started life as a Dictator or Commander though if the body plate was still on the firewall that would tell. In any event we have no idea the condition of the car before it was converted. If it was in pretty bad shape it could not have been restored economically to original specifications (i.e. the restoration cost would far exceed the value of the car).
