Does anybody have a used/NOS 1962 Lark windshield wiper motor they'd be willing to turn loose? If not; are those things rebuildable and any recommendations?

Anybody? A Buick maven I know suggested Ficken out of NY; no dice since they deal with vacuum wiper motors.--------------------------------------

I thought just about any 12v Studebaker wiper motor would mount. No NOS available but we see dozens at the swap meets. Depending on what you need, there are some repair parts listed in SI's catalog (page 221). Have you no local auto electric shop to look at it?Brad Johnson,

Since you have nothing to loose and if you are handy with a few hand tools and a soldering iron pull it apart and see what you find. I have done this before with most Studebaker parts including starters and wiper motors and you would be amazed at the small problems that one can find and remedy. If you have another around that doesn't work you might have enough to make one. Many parts that Studebaker used were very robust and simple compared to parts today. They can be disassembled and repaired, if not by you then a technician that is familiar with older car parts.
