Gonna be cool! DO NOT change the wheels!
No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

Not a chance. I don't think any other wheels would fit, and I love the looks of the Budds. I'd also like to leave the fenders intact.

Here's another pic. Larry added the OD trans, but the rest is factory. Not too many of these old trucks with original paint on the frame.

Hey Matt, that thing will look good sitting next to the Stonebaker Pizza Truck at the Cruise-In at SI this summer.
Good luck with your new toy!

You putting air conditioning in that? Is that what the bezel was for?

That's a cool truck. A real manly man truck.

I like that truck. Glad everything worked out on both deals. Finding one that nice and complete is always exciting. Was, when I was 17 and still is now at 67. Good luck with it. Tex

If I would have had 4 of those rims, I would have kept them as well. Since I have 3 and an oddball that does not work....I had to change them.
Matt, your gonna love it. I love mine, and that baby is WAY cleaner than mine....
I got flagged down again today by a fellow that yelled to me that he had a '49 he drove all over the country for 20 years, never a lick of trouble....while I hope that is true, I doubt it. It is fun.

I had a friend today notice that in the 15 minutes he rode with me that at least 5 people waved at us. I told him it harkens a simpler time I think when people were friendlier. He really liked it....maybe I will get my first Studebaker contract build project.

As always, GOOD on you Matt. You deserve a fun project like that. Keep the pics and new stories coming.
