Looking to have some pot metal parts rechromed. I understand the process with the silver in the pits and copper plating until level....I also have a broken piece that I could give them first to see how they would do. I would rather waste $300.00 to see their work than to attempt to re-find the parts I need done. Would like to work with someone local to the Minneapolis / St Paul area or within 50 miles. Thank you

Isn't there a shop in rural Wisconsin, (actually not a long ways from you but more than 50 miles), that does restoration of cast metal parts & could handle the work you need? I know they have an ad in Hemmings, and though I just can't recall their name offhand, Ernie Loga would know who they are.

George Iverson. He's expensive. And slow. And THE BEST!!!!!

He's right in your neck of the woods, too!

I've had real good luck with Jewel's Body Shop & Plating in Brillion,WI. (920)756-2549.
They mainly specialize in 55-57 T-Bird parts.
A friend had his hood ornament from his 55 Pontiac done by them.
They re-did it 3 times before they would let it out of the shop, standing by with what they quoted for price.
They will be at Iola this weekend.
I've had most of the parts from my 37 done by them.
