Ever go driving the backroads hoping to stumble upon a old car? I do all the time.Last weekend while getting lost in the hinterlands I stumbled across this Lark with a 4-sale sign in the window.Next thing I know it's mine and it's home. The 259 supposedly ran but it's stuck now.3 spd with o/d and the TT gear ratio tag says 3.73 I will assume it's a dana 27.
No title and no keys so I dont know what's inside the trunk yet.

What ya wanna bet that Jimmy Hoffa is in the trunk? [:o)];)

It might. It's pretty clean for this area.Front fenders look pretty good and I only found 1 rust spot in the floor. If a local chapter member or someone here can use it thats where it will go.If no interest.....

Might be worthwhile spending a little time trying to get the engine unstuck. It does look to be in pretty decent shape for a MN car. If you got the engine running, its eBay value should be better.

I'm back to work for a few days. Sigh...

Yup. I know the feeling. Let one lark in your yard and the next thing you know you got a dozen. Watch out Bob, once you got one decoy Lark in your yard, flocks more will decend upon you! ;)

Car still wears it's South Dakota plates,Gord, which certainly helped in its salvation and it can sit here until you want to roll down to pick it up<G>.I already pulled the plugs and doused it with some diesel fuel.Pulled the radiator and stuck a 1" breaker bar and socket on the crank then gave a pull but it didnt budge.Dipstick check revealed no oil.Distributor cap appears to have been cranked around since the window faces the firewall. This is the second Lark I've ever had.Tomorrow I'm off to look at a pile-o-Hawks...and I do mean a pile...probably 15 of them and not a one restorable:(
