The Clarion Motel in Burnham has changed to a Comfort Inn recently, and raised the prices. The Super 8 in Burnham remains about the same.

However, there is now another option. Only two miles north of Reedsville, at the Rt. 322 Milroy exit, there is a new Best Western Nittany Inn. It is a smaller motel with only 41 rooms, but is new, clean, and reasonably priced. I have stayed there a couple of times in recent weeks, and it is IMHO much better than the Burnham options. As of yesterday, all rooms were available for the days of the Reedsville meet. Because of the limited number of rooms, I would suggest making reservations early.

Gary,

I've never stayed at the Pines, but Steve the Doodler tells me its a lovely place! I guess that it's closer to scenic downtown Lewistown and lures the tourists:)

I can remember the first time that I stayed at Corkins Motel. I walked into the office and there was a picture of my '53 Commander Starliner directly in front of me. They came around in the morning and beat on everyone's door to get them up in time for the opening of the flea market. I don't remember what year was my first at Corkins Motel, but it was probably in the late '70s.

That sounds correct. I went to the swap meet before it was held in Reedsville. It was at the Swab Wagon Works in, I think, Elizabethtown, PA.

The Best Western Nittany Inn had set aside the rooms for Studebaker reservations, and that was causing the motel to show as full for the dates of the Reedsville Meet. I spoke with the manager today, and she changed that.

So, the rooms are available now if anyone wants to book them.
