Skip Lackie sent me some material to read, and recommended I speak to Leigh Morris about the idea of becoming a recognized SDC group.

So I spoke last night with Leigh Morris, chairman of the Studebaker Drivers Club Chapter Chartering & Information Committee. He told me that given our strength in numbers, and the inclusive way we have gone about gathering Studebaker Truck fans into an informal group, he sees no reason we wouldn’t be approved as a Chartered Studebaker Special Interest Group under SDC.

He (Leigh) is sending me all the information we would need to apply, and the minimal set of rules we would have to abide by. As soon as I have that, I will poll the Studebaker Truck Farmers to see if we want to do this, and tell you all what it entails.

By the way, Leigh Morris wants to join STF.

P.S. Leigh wanted me to say hello to an old friend, StudeBob Kabchef (aka Mr. Biggs).

Heh - Leigh's a great guy and one of the Stude faithful. I've missed not having a chance to see him at the last two national meets, but I know he's busy with his work.:D
