Oh my God! I put a $1,000.00 snipe bid on this 62 GT Hawk about a week ago and I forgot about it. I figured it would go for much more. I really just wanted the 4 speed transmission setup.

I just looked at my email and I won the car for $885.00!!![:0][:0][:0]

Rusty frame and all.[xx(]

It is in New York...Bams, is it near you?

If it is not completely gone underneath, I don't think I would have the heart to take parts off of it. I will have to look at it before I decide what to do with it. He is saying it has new floor and trunk pans. He didn't say whether they were installed though!

I am really not ready for another project right now, but I would love to have a 4 speed Hawk! I still have good memories of driving the 4 speed one I used to own.

I am planing on going up there to get it on Saturday, July 14.

It looks like you got quite a buy and project. By the looks of the seats and the rest of the car, it may be a low mileage car that was used in NY by the water and left outside.

My memories of Bayville; 1) Driving my '57 President Classic up from Oyster Bay to Bayville with so much water on the road that it was coming in on the floor. 2) Bayville is where I saw my first Facel Vega HK500 (new). 3) Taking a girl out to dinner there and when they realized that she was local, they decided that they had given us the wrong menu (different prices).

The grille shell is probably pitted. The chrome around the windshield is stainless steel so it should be good unless it is dented.
