Cool/Heat: Stat housing?

I have an early 4 bolt stat housing on a later 2 bolt water manifold. The hose outlet of the 4 bolt stat housing only 1-3/8".

My new rad is a 1-1/2" top outlet. Is there a 2 bolt oulet that has a 1-1/2" hose outlet?

The 4 bolt sits right on there and you only use the 2 corner bolts...easy.

SI has aluminum 2-bolt outlets, I believe they are 1 1/2"

could you cut off the 1 3\8 out let slid on a 1 1\2 pipe over remaining piece and weld it together thus keeping your 4 bolt? Could you install a 2 bolt water manifold to replace your 4 bolt one? Good luck.

Used ones usually have some pits, most are shot because they were a cast alloy, or maybe aluminum.. good used ones are kind of rare because they pitted up pretty bad so if you can find them, get one. new ones are about $25. Back in the day there were aftermarket ones that were quality cast iron,, also a good choice if you can find one.
